Empowering seniors and adults with physical disabilities to live well, and independently in their own homes.
The board of directors of Seniors’ Community Services is pleased to announce the appointment of Frank Rockett as the organization’s new executive director.
Seniors’ Community Services (formerly Kemptville & District Home Support Inc.) serves North Grenville and the surrounding area and delivers community-based services and programs to enhance the independent living and quality of life of seniors, and adults with physical disabilities. The centre is a community-hub and Seniors Active Living Centre (SALC) that helps seniors stay fit, healthy, and socially connected to prevent isolation, and foster independence
“The Board is delighted to have Frank joining our team at Seniors’ Community Services,” said Aaron Nichols, vice-president of the board. “His previous experience in the volunteer based non-profit sector, coupled with his skills in community and partnership building, make him well-positioned to fill this very important position in the community.”
Frank comes to the position with extensive management experience in community support service organizations, with a strong volunteer component, including fourteen plus years as an executive director. He recently served as the Executive Director of the Volunteer Centre of St. Lawrence-Rideau where he led the organizations mission to connect volunteers with opportunities to strengthen nonprofits.
“I am looking forward to working with our remarkable team and building on the many accomplishments of my predecessors,” Frank said. “One of the most meaningful measures of any society is how we treat our elders. This philosophy will continue to guide our organization as we work to provide the essential services that help our senior community live independently and with dignity.”
Frank begins full-time with the organization on Monday, March 31. He can be reached at the centre at 613-258-3203.
