With every dollar raised Seniors' Community Services can continue to offer hundreds of seniors in your community supports that encourage aging in place with confidence and vitality.
For the holiday season we would love to see you decorate your doors and porches with love!

In collaboration with CC Farms, we are offering beautiful handmade wreaths and planters as a fundraiser. All funds raised will go to our Meals on Wheels program that is growing every day.
A beautiful wreath for you, and the reassurance of a nutritious meal delivered to your neighbour, friend, grandparents and parents. A kind community is a strong community, and we are so grateful for the support.

Our Covid-19 Approach

SCS has taken measures to be able to live with and manage COVID-19 for the long term, but we still need to do our part to protect ourselves and others, especially during respiratory illness season.

It remains important for us to respect the decisions of others and serve everyone equally, regardless of vaccination status. In line with the changing government policy, as of October 4th, 2022, SCS will no longer require proof of COVID-19 vaccination to receive in-person services. Rest assured we will continue to monitor government and public health directives as they evolve, and remain vigilant to protect ourselves and the people around us.

This includes:

  • Practicing good hand hygiene
  • People at higher risk of illness, wear a mask to reduce the transmission of COVID 19
  • If you are experiencing symptoms, please stay home

Vaccination:

  • Experts agree that vaccination provides the best protection against illness, hospitalization, and death. Therefore, we encourage all members of our SCS community to maintain current vaccinations

Isolation procedures:

  • If you have tested positive for COVID-19, please self-isolate for 10 days from the time your symptoms began or you tested positive, whichever is earlier. Please do not visit our office during this time
  • If someone you live with has tested positive for COVID-19, and you are fully vaccinated, please self-monitor for symptoms and avoid visiting anyone who may be at higher risk of illness for 10 days

Donate to SCS during Seniors' Month

gcgc

During the month of June we recognize the incredible value of older adults who are part of the vibrant fabric of our community. June is Seniors' Month and it is also an opportunity to be a part of the Great Canadian Giving Challenge!

Every year Seniors' Community Services must fundraise over $42,000 to bridge the gap in grants and government funding. This is no small feat, and we are supported by individuals and businesses who know the value of offering support to hundreds of seniors who live independently at home.

From June 1st to June 30th, every dollar donated through Canada Helps will put SCS in the running to win $20,000! If ever there is a time to consider a gift of support this is a perfect time.

To donate to SCS please follow our donation link for a safe and easy way to donate directly to our services and programs. Thank you for being a big part in ensuring our seniors continue to have access to all the benefits SCS has provided for 41 years. With increased demands and costs, your support will have a remarkable impact!

Seniors Community Services acknowledges that we operate on the traditional territory of the Anishnabek. We honour the historic relationship of the Haudenosaunee and Huron-Wendat peoples to this land. We also recognize all First Nations, Métis, and Inuit peoples who now call North Grenville home, and we commit to actions that advance truth and reconciliation.
