May 27 was the perfect day to “make some lemonade out of COVID lemons” for Seniors’ Community Services, says Jill Woodley. Or in this case, enjoy some tasty soup and the work of local artisans.

Woodley is the marketing and communications specialist for the Kemptville’s Seniors’ Community Services. On May 27, the North Grenville and greater communities came together to support the organization’s Soup & Go fundraiser. It offered customers a cup of hearty soup, warm bun and a bowl to keep made by area potters.

“We raised $1,420 and served 71 bowls of soup,” Woodley said.
